Our New Logo
Our new logo was a really impromptu creation, but it has a lot of meaning behind it. The story goes like this… In August, 2019, Our son was preparing to go to college 1,000 miles away from home at a campus he had never visited. But this school wanted him to play volleyball, so that’s where he went. Knowing we had a long, beautiful drive ahead of us, we decided to take a little side trip to The Smoky Mountains on our way back from the college. We absolutely fell in love. With the area. With the mountains. With the bears. With log cabins. With each other. Well, we really are in love but it certainly made a connection for both of us that we hadn’t felt before. The feeling of “We have to move here. THIS is where we want to be”. So we spent the weekend hiking and exploring the mountains and white water rafting. Then we called the kids and said we were staying 2 more days. Then we hiked and explored the mountains and went white water rafting agin. Then we called the kids again and said we were staying 2 more days! LOL! In all, we spent a week in the town. We got to know some of the locals and visited several properties for sale.
Fast forward to January, 2020… Bobby is the researcher of the house and knew about the Coronavirus long before most other people. He had my head spinning with questions… Which vitamins do we need to buy for immunity? How many masks should we buy? Do we have enough toilet paper? What am I going to feed everyone? But little did I know he was preparing me for reality. You see, this was our life in January. Everyone else in the world is just settling into this isolation idea, but we’ve been living it for longer than that.
We’ve been working non-stop since the pandemic started. The good news is, now we’re used to being inside, we’re doing a lot of work for our current clients and we’re catching up on some projects that needed attention.
I needed a creative outlet the other day so I opened up our Go Tiny Living website and started redesigning it. It seemed so gray and sad! So I chose bright colors that were happier. The logo needed a change for sure. That wasn’t us anymore. We’re way more fun than that! So I went to town creating the new graphic. I didn’t even show Bobby until I was finished! As soon as he looked at it he said “Hey I like that guy!” LOL!!
And that’s how it all started. I needed creativity and had Gatlinburg on my mind. I still do! We’re hoping to be back there soon, hiking and exploring the mountains.
